Humans are wired for connection and Emily D. believes that we learn language best from interacting live with another human being. An app or computer can’t have a spontaneous conversation or provide nuanced and personalized feedback. A book and computer application can only take you so far. Whether it is in lessons with Emily D. or another service, to maximize your time, money and effort, learning a language from a human being just makes sense.

Emily D. and her team of highly qualified Spanish teachers are experienced in working with people of all ages, learning styles, professions and backgrounds. We have had students ranging from a high ranking government official to a head of a major record label to top businessmen and women, hit songwriters, major league baseball scouts and even a pop-country music superstar. We teach a LOT of medical professionals and those from the construction industry.

At Spanish Lessons with Emily D in our one of kind program we are focused on progress, maximizing results, connection, conversation and enjoying the learning process. We get to know our students well so that we can support them in achieving their personal and professional goals.

Our program is structured and we lay out a path of learning for students to follow while remaining extremely flexible in the process to allow for spontaneous learning. We do not place emphasis on performance, grades or put pressure on our students to do the recommended homework. Progress and results is largely determined by the student’s capacity for learning as well as the time they have to put in outside of lessons.
